Besides research, I perform piano.
Music has a profound influence in my life. It teaches me how to be a brave woman and express myself under spotlight, for different audiences. I've started playing piano since I was three year old. I played in a band for years when I was a teenager, a time I began to learn that music is not just about self-expression, but also about collaboration and listening. It also strengthens my resilience in life through many ups and downs in piano competitions. My life experiences as a piano player teaches me to always lift up the spirit to perform better and always keep a growth mindset and broad perspective to welcome challenges in life. Recently, I am exploring the intersection of music & science and technology communication to bring multimedia experiences for enjoying music. Some of the works that have inspired me include Stanford CCRMA and Princeton Laptop Orchestra
